T.I. Helps Prisoners Families Make The Trip To Visit

The ‘King Of The South’ has chartered a bus for the family members of fourteen inmates incarcerated with him, to come and visit them in an Arkansas prison.

Speaking to MTV News T.I. said “I’ve been blessed to receive tons and tons of mail from my fans, family and friends, as well as get visits on a regular basis. Unfortunately some guys aren’t as fortunate. There are a lot of good dudes in here that haven’t been able to see their loved ones in years. Their families can’t afford the trip so I wanted to help out.”

The bus trip, organised for this Memorial Day weekend was titled ‘To See A Love One’, gathered forty-six family and friends of the 14 inmates from Atlanta and Alabama on Saturday for them to visit their loved ones on Sunday and Monday.

Rapper T.I. is reported to be doing well at Forrest City Correctional Facility in Forrest City, Arkansas, where he is serving an eleven month sentence for a probation violation after a drug arrest in Los Angeles on September 1st of last year. He is due to be released on September 29th.
