Game Honours Nelson Mandela With Tattoo

In response to the passing of Nelson Mandela, Game commissioned a tattoo that he revealed to the public on his Instagram last night (Monday 9th Dec). The tattoo (as pictured) took more than 7 hours, according to Game, and features Mandela’s face as he looks out through prison bars.

The finished "Nelson Mandela" lookin out of the prison bars by @NikkoHurtado done on my side. 7 hour sitting.... Few more hours to tie in the tats around it & we solid. #NelsonMandela #RIP #Legend #Leader #Freedom #Peace #Equality #Tattoos #SouthAfrica

This is not the first time Game has honoured people through ink, he also has tattoos of Trayvon Martin and US President  Obama.

Game was not the only hip hop artist to pay tribute to the late South African icon. Jay Z dedicated his “Forever Young” to the legacy of Mandela as his picture was displayed during the song at the Los Angeles stop of his Magna Carta Tour. R. Kelly also prepared a musical tribute to the icon, while many other artists have paid tribute by taking to twitter.
