Lupe Fiasco Calls Barack Obama A Terrorist

Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco has made a bold statement on a CBS News program, labeling the current American president as the ‘biggest terrorist’.

WORDS: PETER K & BLAIN MOORE

During an interview on CBS News’ ‘What’s Trending’, the rapper stated:

“To me, the biggest terrorist is Obama in the United States of America. For me, I’m trying to fight the terrorism that’s actually causing the other forms of terrorism. The root cause of terrorism is the stuff that the U.S. government allows to happen, the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it’s easy for us, because it’s really just some oil that we can really get on our own”

Although being a rapper who speaks on society and it’s pressing issues, Lupe delved into the reason of why he is not part of the American political process in any form ;

“I don’t vote. I don’t get involved in politics. Because it’s meaningless, to be honest. First of all, I’m a real big believer if I’m going to vouch for someone, I’m going to stand behind everything they do. If I’m going to say I stand behind this person and write on a piece of paper that says I stand for this person, then I have to take responsibility for everything that he does. Because that’s just how I am as a human being. Politicians aren’t going to do that, because I don’t want you to bomb some village in the middle of nowhere.”

The rapper was featured as the Influencer on the show and spoke about issues relating to his politically charged track. This is not the first time the outspoken mc has taken a jab at the U.S. President. Back in March while speaking to Gigwise.com about his new album Lasers and more so the track Words I Never Said with its political content and the mention of Obama, the Chicago native stated ;

“I love Obama, and I love the fact that it’s a black president of the United States of America, but he’s not the first black president. Robert Mugabe is a black president too so lets not get to talking about precedents being set.”

Lupe Fiasco’s third solo album Lasers was released back in March of this year and features the strongly political single Words I Never Said featuring Skylar Grey.
