It has just been confirmed to Rap Ireland that Q-Tip’s much anticipated Irish show has been cancelled. Q-Tip, who had been due to perform later this month at The Button Factory alongside J-Period, has yet to release an official statement. However the cancellation was confirmed to Rap Ireland in the last few minutes by J Period’s management, G.Brown, with tour afterparties also receiving the axe.
It is unknown at this point the reasons behind the cancellation, though Norwegian organisers of the Oya Festival have released a statement in the last few minutes claiming the cancellation was health-related, with the rapper due to have an operation in the coming weeks.
