Snoop hoping to enlist the help of Jay-Z and Wiz for proposed reality show

As recently reported, the Doggfather has plans in the pipeline regarding an ‘X Factor’esque reality show to find the next best hip-hop act. According to Page Six, the gossip column in The New York Post, Snoop Dogg has been sniffing around and hopes to create a reality series to source some real rapping talent. He recently revealed; “I’m looking for a deal from a network to find America’s hottest hood artists.”

The California native’s idea has reportedly gathered interest from high profile networks such as E! and MTV. Snoop has high hopes of receiving assistance for his show from ultimate rap icon, Jigga, up and coming sensation Wiz Khalifa and an unnamed old school veteran to judge and mentor the contestants.

According to rap website HipHopDx “Snoop has wild ideas about who he can get to judge, but most are probably unlikely, including Jay.” Despite this probable setback, Wiz is supposedly interested and “will likely be involved.” However, if Hov is out of the line-up, Snoop may need to do some serious recruiting of rap icons in order for his search for a hip-hop star to become a renowned reality show.
