B.o.B Starts Work On 2nd Album & Says Fans Will ‘Be Surprised’

B.o.B has started work on the follow up to his smash hit album The Adventures of Bobby Ray’, and he is beginning to share some details about the much anticipated second LP.

I’m really excited about this one,” he told MLive. “You’re always excited about every project. But I really feel like I’m in my groove with this one. I’m more aware of myself as an instrument, as a sound. It’s more intentful.”

The ‘Airplanes’ rapper who is hitting the road on Rihanna’s American summer tour, also spoke to MTV News recently and said: “I think that people will definitely be surprised at the music they hear on the second album,” said the Atlanta rapper. “I don’t think they would expect that coming from me.”

And while details of the new album are still scarce he’s already planning to give fans a taste of his new material very soon. “There’s probably going to be some surprises. There’s no telling what the next three quarters will be like,” he said. “We should be seeing something very soon. Even if not an album, you’ll definitely see new music this year.”

Producer Jim Jonsin also spoke on the follow up album, revealing recently that Bobby Ray isn’t collaborating as much. “I don’t think he’s doing as many features,” Jonsin said. “I think most of his singles will be him and he just wants the fans to hear a lot more of him on this album. It’s gonna be incredible.”
