Last night the nominees for the BET Awards 2011 where announced live on 106 & Park ahead of the 11th annual event due to take place over in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 26th. This years show will be hosted by funny man Kevin Hart.

Leading the pack with six nominations is Chris Brown, including Video of the Year and Best Male R&B Artist. At last years show Brown had a breakdown onstage while performing his emotional tribute to Michael Jackson.

Cali Swag District, who lost one of its member M-Bone this week in a drive by shooting, got a nod in the Best Group category, where they’re up against New Boyz, N.E.R.D, Diddy-Dirty Money and Travis Porter.

To fight it out in Best International Act: UK are VV Brown, Chipmunk , Skepta, Tinchy Stryder,Tinie Tempah and our own IRISH R&B songstress Laura Izibor, who has enjoyed some success over in the US with her music and a bash at an acting career.
