Beyonce reacts to leak of ‘4’

Beyonce’s highly anticipated fourth album due to be released at the end of this month has been leaked. The follow-up to ‘I am Sasha Fierce’ was recorded between Spring 2010 and 2011 and was not due to drop until June 27th.

The leak comes after two tracks from the LP surfaced on the internet on June 7th. The first song to be revealed was ‘Party’ and it was swiftly followed by a track entitled ‘Countdown’ which features a sample from Boyz II Men’s 1991 hit ‘Uhh Ahh’.

According the showbiz website DigitalSpy, shortly after the appearance of the second track, the full track-list emerged. This turned out to be a CD quality leak of the entire standard edition of the album. Bey is set to release a deluxe edition along with this standard one at the end of the month.

Beyonce was aggrieved over the manner in which her new music was revealed to her fans;
“My music was leaked and while this was not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans. When I record music I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat. I make music to make people happy and I appreciate that everyone has been so anxious to hear my new songs.”
