Biggie’s Mother wants Lil Kim Removed from Monica’s New Track

Seems like Lil Kim can’t catch a break these days and the latest in the saga involves Notorious B.I.G.’s mother Voletta Wallace. According to R&B singer Monica, Ms. Wallace wants Lil Kim’s contributions to Monica’s single “Anything (To Find You.)”  axed. The song samples Biggie’s classic b-side “Who Shot Ya” and B.I.G’s mother wants Kim’s 16 bars taken off the track or else she will not give the clearance for the release to go-ahead. The track hit the net last week with a positive response and also features Rick Ross and Missy Elliot.

As many Biggie fans know, Lil Kim and his mother’s beef did not begin overnight. There have been numerous occasions where Voletta and Lil Kim have exchanged words with each other. Monica took to Twitter and begged for Ms. Wallace to reconsider her decision:

“I am just finding out what has happened to my single and myself & Missy are beyond hurt that @LilKim was removed,” Monica tweeted. “She’s our friend, a legend & @LilKim will get the respect she deserves at all cost. The clearance was revoked & I’m fighting to get it reinstated by the Biggie Estate”

“We respect all parties involved & were gonna do WHATEVER to keep the song as is because @lilKim the bizness on the record,” Monica added. “I am as thorough as they come and I LOVE @LilKim bottom line is Ms Wallace has the final say and she said No. If we put it out we get SUED.”

Lil Kim, who was celebrating her 36th birthday this weekend, also took to her Twitter account to let her fans know whats happening with the track.

“I want y’all to know @missyelliott & @monicabrown have been going HARD As A MOTHAFUCKA 4 this situation. I love them so much!!! My babies! Right now me, @missyelliott, @monicabrown are planning something even BIGGER for you guys!!! =) They can’t stop us #teamlilkim here we come!!!!!!! #LooksLikeMoney”

There’s been no word yet from Ms. Wallace.
