Chamillionaire’s mansion re-possessed by the bank

The bling-bling culture of Hip-Hop that built up over the boom years has been toned down considerably since the onslaught of the worldwide recession. However, today’s story that southern rapper Chamillionaire’s Houston mansion has been repossessed highlights that even flashy rap stars are feeling the pinch.

The star who is most famous for his single “Ridin Dirty” claims the $2million home was a “bad real estate investment” and wasn’t worth the mortgage repayments. Of course, in a money-obsessed Hip-Hop culture, Cham was quick to hit back at claims he was broke, insisting “I still got all the cars”.

Expect to see more of these stories in the coming months as record sales continue to plummet and tour dates become more scarce. Catch Chamillionaire speaking to RapIreland.com next month.
