Chris Brown was the big winner at last nights BET Awards 2011. The R&B singer, who was nominated for six trophies, put on a great performance and picked up five awards, including Best Male R&B Artist and Video of the Year for “Look at Me Now.”
At last year’s ceremony Breezy gave an emotional tribute to Michael Jackson, a year later and the singer performed a medley of hits including “She Ain’t You,” “Look at Me Now” with guest Busta Rhymes, and “Paper Scissors Rock,” wowing the audience with his fancy footwork.
The annual event took place over in Los Angeles last night, and was hosted by comedian Kevin Hart. Other winners on the night included Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Tinie Tempah, Wiz Khalifa, Diddy-Dirty Money and more.
Our own Dublin songstress Laura Izibor, was up for a BET Award as Best International Act UK but lost out to Tinie Tempah. The event featured footage from Beyonce’s historic spot at this years Glastonbury Festival, alongside live performances from Alicia Keys, Rick Ross, Bruno Mars, Big Sean, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Queen Latifah, Jill Scott.
