Here we go again! After a decade of waiting on the album that never was, it seems as though fans finally have an end in sight, with Dre announcing a release date of April 20th 2011.
The news broke in a recent video posted by Just Blaze and Dr.Dre on Twitter, whilst promoting Saigon’s upcoming album release.
“You know what album’s coming out on February 15 (Saigon’s Greatest Story Never Told), but then guess what else comes out,” Just Blaze said, before turning the camera to reveal Dr. Dre, who says: “Bow bow, 4/20, baby. 4/20, I’m comin’.”
Albums typically drop on a Tuesday in the States, though it appears Dre will break with tradition and release the super-hyped album on Wednesday 20th. Just Blaze claimed via Twitter that “the publicity and hype of the date release would make up for the lost day”.
However, be warned; there has yet to be any official statement from the label and it could be yet another case of Dr.Dre crying wolf!
I will be very surprised if this comes out before 2012!!
hes lost his touch and is just afraid to release it!! the hype has got too high and he cant live up to it… all the latest singles kush etc nothing like “still dre”
