Game Secures Dr. Dre Vocals on Upcoming R.E.D. Album

Top West Coast rapper Game has revealed that he has landed a coveted vocal spot from his original mentor Dr. Dre on his eagerly anticipated and upcoming R.E.D. Album. Dr. Dre has mentored so many artists over his span in the game especially on his own Aftermath label, but rarely drops a verse or a hook on his artists or peers tracks. Aside from Eminem and Snoop Dogg, the legendary producer/rapper has hardly ever vocally graced anyone else’s tracks.

Speaking to MTV News from the set of his Pot Of Gold video shoot, about the album, Game said; “This album is the most incredible album of my career. First, I’m back with Dr. Dre, which is a bonus and dope for me. Second, executive-produced by Pharrell, co-executive-produced by myself and Mars.”

Game, while clearly buzzing about his fourth studio album release ran through some of the artists and producers featuring on the upcoming album while also mentioning the Dr. Dre spot; “Production from Cool & Dre, Hit-Boy, Maestro and up and coming producers Lex Luger and features from Nelly Furtado to Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes and Dre’s rapping on the album”

When asked what track and whether Dre was doing a verse or a hook the ever playful Game simply replied;    “I ain’t telling………..August 23rd man”

Dre who oversaw Game’s first release the classic  The Documentary on his  Aftermath label back in 2005, has not worked with the fellow Compton MC since. Things drifted apart after the well documented feud between Game and 50 Cent, that eventually culminated in Game being dropped from Dre’s Aftermath label before moving to  Geffen the Interscope subsidiary. This did not take from his talent but pushed him more and he has become one of the most lyrical MC’s in the game, turning out two more fantastic albums since parting ways from the  Aftermath powerhouse.

Games long awaited R.E.D Album is due to hit stores on August 23rd and is on target to be another classic. With his former mentor on board to collaborate it will be sure to bang in all the right ways.
