Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club Closed For Food Safety Violations 1 Day After Reopening

It seems the arrival of Blue Ivy may have left Jay-Z a little of-focus in recent weeks, and the closure of Jigga’s 40/40 club in New York, less than 24 hours after the prestigious re-opening, is likely to have Hov fuming.

It has been revealed that Mr Carter’s New York franchise was been shut down due to food safety violations. In what was a remarkable coincidence, considering the reopening date, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued the bar with 69 violation points, more than enough for the club to be chained shut and sending Jay-Z back to the drawing board..

An anonymous source said “If you have a walk-in place with food like this, you put a hell of a lot of people at risk. A night of dinner and dancing should not include the risk of contracting food-borne illness.”

This comes as quite an embarrassment for Jay-Z, who had a number of celebrity guests attending the previous night for the launch, including Swizz Beats, DJ Khaled and even Warren Buffet.

The violations are listed below.
