Lil Wayne to Release Prison Memoir

Creating opportunity out of adversity is something Lil Wayne is taking to the next level, by releasing his first book, a memoir of his time spent in prison in 2010.

The book, which Weezy apparently penned as a diary while incarcerated at Rikers Island. The publisher, Grand Central Publishing, describe the book as “an internal monologue” written over the 8 month prison sentence.

Lil Wayne is following in the footsteps of T.I, who published a novel of his own, Power & Beauty, while serving 11 months behind bars. It seems that fragrances and soft drinks have been joined by the prison memoir as the spin-off of choice for 2012 rappers. Lil Wayne has pegged November 28th as the release date for this memoir.
