After selling out Dublin’s Twisted Pepper venue last October and creating such demand that a second show had to be added, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are making a return to Abbey St on September 19th, this time to play the larger, neighbouring venue, The Academy.
Having featured on the XXL magazine cover this year and single “Can’t Hold Us” being used in Miller adverts throughout the world, the pieces have really been coming together for the Seattle duo, whose 65-stop world tour takes in the Irish-American’s motherland for only the second occasion. Speaking to Rap Ireland last October, Macklemore described performing “Irish Celebration” in Dublin as one of the highlights of his career to date.
