Nicki Minaj Drops Diddy As Manager

More than a year after signing with Sean “Diddy” Combs and James Cruz as managers, Nicki Minaj has parted ways with the two business moguls. XXLMag.com are reporting that the Young Money rapper is now being managed by Gee Roberson and Kyambo “HipHop” Joshua from the New York management company Hip-Hop Since 1978, which also manages Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Drake and many more.

Roberson and Joshua previously served as A&Rs for Atlantic Records for Lil Kim’s 2005 album “The Naked Truth” which might be surprising to hear for the Kim fans out there. Before Diddy, Nicki was managed by Waka Flocka Flame’s mother Debra Antney’s firm, but switched over after firing Antney in April 2010.

Rumor has it that she expected Diddy to be more hands-on with her career, and decided to move on when she realized he wasn’t as involved as expected. According to the source, there are no hard feelings between Nicki Minaj, Diddy and Cruz.
