Producer David Kirkwood Sueing Lil Wayne for Unpaid Royalties

Lil Wayne SuedSongwriter and producer David Kirkwood is the latest to sue Cash Money and Young Money for not getting paid on “TC3” work. Another producer who contributed to Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III has sued seeking millions in unpaid fees.

David Kirkwood has filed suit against Young Money Entertainment and Cash Money Records saying  “that he is owed $1.5 million for his work.” Kirkwood filed the suit  in New York Southern District Court last week.  His work on the album “Tha Carter III”  included songwriting on the track “Love Me or Hate Me,” which was featured on the deluxe edition of the LP.

Kirkwood is the latest producer to work on TC3 who has filed a suit unpaid royalties. In 2007, Bangladesh (“A Milli”) claimed he was unpaid for his work, and Darius “Deezle” Harrison followed suit in March who is seeking $20 million for unrecognised work.
