The Breakdown on the Common vs Drake beef

Ok, so last month in a radio interview with Sway In The Morning, Common confirmed he was taking shots at Drake on his new single, “Sweet” from his latest studio album. In the track Common spits;

“Some ho ass n***as … Singing all around me man, la la la … You ain’t muthafucking Frank Sinatra. Uh, li’l bitch … Yeah, this the raw right here. This the raw right here n***a … Sweet muthafucka … Sweet ass bitch muthafucka.”

While performing at a show in Las Vegas, Drake responded to the track by telling the crowd “I might sing, but I ain’t no bitch. If Common got something to say, say it to my face.”

In that same interview with Sway, Common responded directly to that comment: “He opened his mouth and said some things, so if that’s what he want — all that subliminal [talk] … you could do that, too, but say it now. The verse is about me, but when you hear some of the stuff on the chorus it’s like you can’t help but think about dude, and I guess that’s what he felt. So at the end of day he fits in that category, he already embraced it, so wear it.”

Com explained that his diss comes from comments that Drake made about being the best lyricist. He decided to go after rappers who claimed to be the best to see what they are made of, “He’s a very successful artist, obviously. Like I said, I think he’s a talented artist. I give credit where it’s due and I try to speak the truth where I see it. In Hip Hop, there was a lot of that going on,” he said. “Beyond Drake, it’s still some artists I was hearing, some artists I didn’t even know I was hearing. But Drake fits in that category. Any artist could be a target, once you get in and start saying you this and that. When you think about it, KRS-One if you take it there, or when Nas and Jay had a battle, it was about being a doper emcee.

So fast forward to Friday just gone and the much anticpated release of Rick Ross’ new mixtape “Rich Forever”. Everyone is now talking about Drake’s verse on the track “Stay Schemin” with bars littered with subliminal’s throughout as Drake fires back “I just ask that when you see me, you speak up ni**a that’s all/Don’t be ducking like you never wanted nothing,” Drake spits. “It’s feeling like rap changed, it was a time it was rugged/Back when if a ni**a reached it was for the weapon, nowadays ni–as reach just to sell their record.”,”

Earlier today, Common responded on the “Stay Schemin (Remix),” a track that debuted on Sway Calloway’s Sway in the Morining with “Everybody know you sweet, what the problem is/ Dom’t play dumb, I’m the one that acknowledged it/ Son of a bitch, I imagine what your father is/ She said, How you make your opponent/ Rapper of the moment, his style he don’t own it/ Acting all hard when he hardly like that/ Mess around and make me catch a body like that/ Don’t do it ’cause every song you make is really hoe music/ I heard you said wasn’t a bitch ’cause you sing, you a bitch ’cause you cling like a bitch that’s 18/ Can’t say my name, but rap about ni**a’s wife/ You show black and white tryna live a ni**as’ life/ I’m taking too long with this amateur guy/ You ain’t wetting nobody ni**a, you Canada Dry.”

Is this one of the most pointless rap “beefs” ?? and Drake what happened to “Dis’ me, you’ll never hear a reply for it”

These two rappers need to stick to what they are good at- and beefing ain’t that!!
